Gebran Gerge Bassil ((アラビア語:جبران جرجي باسيل); born Batroun, Lebanon 21 June 1970) is a Lebanese politician, and as of the 20th of September, the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement.
==Biography==
Bassil was born in a Maronite Christian family. Bassil received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in civil engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1992 and 1993 respectively.〔

Bassil was appointed Minister of Communications in the Government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora between July 2008 until November 2009. In November 2009, he took over the Minister of Energy and Water in the government, which is headed by Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
